AEMC offers Understanding Insulation Resistance Testing
Training Seminars
A regular program of testing insulation resistance is strongly recommended to prevent electrical shocks, assure safety of personnel and to reduce or eliminate down time, yet, insulation testing procedures are often not fully understood.
This comprehensive, one day seminar is designed to give you thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of insulation resistance testing as well as the use of the equipment required to perform these tests.
Key Topics Covered
Motor Theory
Spot Testing
Timed Tests
Polarization Index
Temperature Correction of Test Results

AEMC offers Understanding Ground Resistance Testing
Training Seminars
The training seminar consists of two sessions. The first session
consists of classroom presentations and discussions on all aspects of soil
resistivity and ground resistance testing.
The second session consists of on-site field tests demonstrating
the different methods of ground resistance testing discussed during the
first half of the day.
What You Will Learn
When and how to use each test method
When and where not to use a particular test method
Proper placement of auxiliary rods to conduct each type of test
How to calculate the required ground electrode depth based on soil resistivity data
How to distinguish ground resistance measurements from loop resistance
How to use the Fall-of-Potential method when it is not practical to drive auxiliary rods
